There has been much buzz about an upcoming event in Washington DC July 16th of this year. Evangelicals, Catholics and many so-called Protestant churches will be coming together. They are trying to get at least one million people to come together and pray.
America is in terrible condition in many regards… morally, spiritually, economically etc. The devil has slowly but surely brought this nation to its low and now he claims to have a solution– let’s come “TOGETHER” and pray!
Let me first say that prayer is wonderful and essential. What I am about to share is not a knock at prayer, but to show with biblical clarity that prophecy is being fulfilled and we are instructed [and required] to know where we are in time [1 Thess 5:1-7].
The Bible predicts in Revelation 13 that the U.S.A. will have two horns like a lamb but eventually will speak as a dragon. The two horns represent Republicanism and Protestantism, namely, a government without a king and religion without a pope. Those horns are lamb-like which naturally brings our minds to Christlikeness and Christianity as Jesus is often referred to as the Lamb of God [John 1:29].
However, the bible says that eventually the United States will speak as a dragon or in other words take on Dragon-like characteristics. The Dragon is none other than Satan himself. In Revelation 12:9 & 13 the Bible states that the dragon is deceptive and a persecutive power. The U.S.A. has been steadily passing unconstitutional laws and in the very words of inspiration been repudiating the laws of its constitution. We could see both of these characteristics developing in the United States.
The Bible also predicts in Revelation 13 that the Leading Churches in the United States will come together and will call for a religious law to be passed that every one must worship on Sunday. Those who refuse will be persecuted at the peril of their lives.
I believe we are living in the beginning stages of the fulfillment of this prophecy and God people should especially seek God for Grace and Mercy. What’s also significant about this meeting is that it features quite a few gospel artists from all genres, Evangelicals, Southern Baptists leader Ronnie Floyd and a special videoconference appearance by Pope Francis to address everyone. It’s important to note that the Southern Baptist is the leading Church in the United States. This helps to put the below reference in perspective in light of fulfilling bible prophecy.
Lets note the inspired words: When the leading churches of the United States, uniting upon such points of doctrine as are held by them in common, shall influence the state to enforce their decrees and to sustain their institutions, then Protestant America will have formed an image of the Roman hierarchy, and the infliction of civil penalties upon dissenters will inevitably result. [GC 445.]
When we see the Together/Reset America movement, with good intentions, come together for prayer, we should see this event through a different lens. “A wise mans heart discerneth both time and judgment” [Ecclesiastes 8:5]
My friends, we are living in very serious times. I must quickly add that it is not enough to know the time we should know what to do [1 Chronicles 12:32].
So what should the people of God be doing?
The Bible says in Romans 13:11-14 – When we understand the time we recognize also that it is time to put on the whole armor of God.
Let us put away strife, bitterness, pride, animosities and worldliness in all it form and put ye on Christ Jesus and make no provisions for the flesh.
Let’s set aside a portion of each day for prayer, Bible study and self-examination.
Let’s keep looking up because or redemption draweth nigh.
